Our decision to adopt
When we returned from Belize, I felt really unsettled. Work was not going that well - my boss ended up not treating me good or with respect. What had been a wonderful place to work turned into somewhere that I dreaded going every day. Even though we had the most wonderful time in Belize. The memories and amazing friendships we made were nice to think on - but I just felt a huge emptiness in our lives. So, I started looking at houses to purchase in Boise, Idaho, where all of our nieces and nephews live. My thought was that if we didn't have children, at least we could be closer to our nieces and nephews and buy a house large enough for them all to have slumber parties at our house. Dennis wasn't too keen on that idea. I just felt really strongly that adoption was being laid on my heart.
